Hazel

Name: Hazel

Age: 9 years approx

Sex: Female

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 101

Personality:
Hazel is such a lovely cat and quickly became a staff and volunteer favourite. She came into our care in a really awful condition after being up a tree for several days. She was full of fleas and had sores all over her body, she was also very under weight. Hazel has made a great recovery and is now looking her very best; she can’t wait to find her forever home.

Behaviour:
Hazel is a very loving and affectionate girl. She enjoys coming out to explore the cattery floor and playing with a variety of toys, she can be quite kitten like at times. Hazel adores being stroked and will headbutt your hand if you stop, she will sometimes follow you around and she also likes to cuddle up on your lap. She will make a lovely companion to her new family.

Housing:
Hazel will need a home with outside access to a garden. She cannot be homed in the Portchester area.

Children/pets:
Hazel could live with primary school aged children who will be gentle with her. She would prefer to be an only pet.

Vet history:
Hazel is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Due to her previous flea allergy she will need to continue with routine veterinary prescribed flea treatments. Hazel has an unusual wide legged gait, this has been investigated and nothing abnormal or unusual was found, this could be a result of her having poor muscle mass when she came into us, this causes her no issues and she is on no medication for this.
Hazel does occasionally get a build up of wax in her ears so may need ad hoc ear cleaning in the home. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
