Hamish & Poppy

Name: Hamish and Poppy

Age: Young Adult

Sex: Male and female

Breed: Kune Kune

Ref number: 7 and 8

Personality:
Hamish and Poppy are the sweetest pigs with big personalities. Hamish is a very vocal boy who loves people and will always come running over when he is called, he loves having rubs around his ears and his head. Poppy is very food orientated and is the first one over for breakfast and dinner, she loves people and will happily follow you around when cleaning the field.

Behaviour:
Both pigs are very bonded to each other, however they need to be scatter fed otherwise Poppy will bully Hamish off his food.

Housing:
These two will need a large field with a shelter, stock and post fencing. You will also need a CPH holding number from DEFRA for your field/land. They could be mixed with other pigs but this will need to be done over time and you will need to be able to separate your field until they are friends. Please talk to staff for requirements.

Children/pets:
Poppy and Hamish can live around other animals but in a separate area, suitable for all aged children with supervision, please note we recommend all children to be supervised at all times around the pigs as they can be really strong.

Vet history:
Hamish is castrated and both pigs have been wormed and fully vaccinated.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100 for the pair. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the pigs.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal
