Rehoming – Profile

History:

Frank was signed over into our care due to a change in circumstances within the family.

Behaviour observations on site:

Frank is a happy, intelligent young boy. He loves playing with toys and enjoys his food, which makes him a dream to work with. He is super switched on and loves learning new tricks.

Frank will bark and often become frantic when seeing another dog. This may be due to lead frustration and he will need to do ongoing exposure training and be supported by a trainer or behaviourist through this. To help him with this, he will need to be walked in a secure private hire field or a very quiet area while he is working on his training.

Franks has responded incredibly well to his training here at the centre and is focused on working with his handler. Once Frank has built a solid relationship with you he is very playful and a big lovebug. He is also well behaved at the vets.

Frank has unfortunately lost an eye due to a previous injury from a dog attack when he was young, although he has since lived with another dog.

Frank’s ideal home would be in a quiet neighbourhood without other dogs living next door. With owners who have an interest in dog training and a playful side!

Adoption fee: £180 If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog

Medical history:

Frank is castrated, fully vaccinated, flead and wormed. He has shown signs of some anxiety around being handled on his blind side. It is worth noting that due to his eye he should be handled slowly and so that he can see you approaching.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Additional information:

Frank cannot be rehomed to Gosport.
