Name: Frank (Green) & Alan (No tag)
Age: Unknown
Sex: Unknown
Breed: Chickens
Ref number: 10 & 15
Personality:
These chickens enjoy their outdoor time and will often be found roaming around their grassy play area looking for food, Alan is definately the star of the show despite being the smallest of the bunch, and will often have the others following him where ever he goes.
Behaviour:
Both chickens are pretty confident and good with being handled. We believe Frank and Alan are cockerels due to the others we currently hold here, however we are yet to see definite signs that they are male. If adopted and they turn out to be the undesired gender, we are happy to accept them back into our care if needed. Meetings can also be arranged if potential adopters would like to have a look at the boys, before adoption where staff can discuss and answer any questions.
Housing:
Frank and Alan are to be rehomed seperately and would require at least 5 chickens, they could be rehome together, but they would need at least 10 chickens each. The enclosure should be a large predator proof coop with a large outdoor/ grass area.
Children/pets:
Can live around other pets, but to be kept separately. They can live with children of all ages, but to be supervised when interacting (especially younger children below the age of 11 years).
Vet history:
Both arrived underweight in poor condition and Alan had what seemed to be a suspected broken/ Injured toe which has healed nicely and doesn’t seem to bother him, they have no current health concerns.
Additional information:
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the chickens.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal
