Fiji

Name: Fiji

Age: 4 years

Sex: Female

Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier X

Ref number: 40

Personality:
Lovely Fiji has come to us through no fault of her own and has been finding kennel life a little scary. Despite this she has been doing very well making lots of new friends and building her confidence with staff and volunteers, now she loves nothing more than a good run followed  by lots of belly rubs and cuddles. She can’t wait to show her new family her fun, cheeky side!

Behaviour:
Fiji is a typical staffie who can be a little boisterous when playing, she would be best suited to someone with bull breed experience or a willingness to learn about their behaviour. She can be strong on lead and also has a high prey drive so any potential adopters will need to be aware of this and prepared to do some training or take her to some classes. Whilst she can be interested in approaching and occasionally playing with dogs she can be a little intense at first though she has managed to make a few friends to walk with. Fiji can be a little aloof when first meeting new people but when introduced calmly and at her own pace comes round very quickly and is soon rolling about begging for a fuss!

Housing:
Cannot be rehomed to the Havant area. Fiji will need access to a private and secure garden to explore. Fiji has rarely been left previously and whilst we believe she could learn to be left for an hour or two potential adopters should be prepared to build up to this slowly and have someone around whilst she settles in.

Children/pets:
Fiji will need to be the only pet in the home and we are also looking for an adult only home.

Vet history:
Fiji is up to date with flea, worming and vaccinations. She will need to return to the centre at a later date to be neutered.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £220. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
