Rehoming – Profile

History:

Felix and Rosie came into our care because their owner could no longer provide them the care they needed.

Behaviour observations on site:

Felix and Rosie were a little shy when they first came into our care. Although being a little shy they were both very friendly from arrival. Felix has shown he is a little more confident than Rosie and he prefers to be in the inside of their unit. Rosie however is a little nervous and she likes the safety of being in their run in the top carrier where it is quieter and has less movements going on around her.

Felix and Rosie are both very affectionate and have gentle personalities. Felix is always there to greet you and will often rub his head on your hand for some fuss. He is happy to be in your company either just enjoying being able to lay beside you or giving you little head bumps on your hand asking for more head rubs. Felix also likes his bed and will be seen curled up having a long nap. Rosie stays in the run in her carrier during the day and although shy is a very sweet girl. She will enjoy lots of gentle strokes from both staff and volunteers and loves her food, especially some dreamies so it is a good way to begin a bond with her. Occasionally Rosie will be brave enough to come onto the shelf in her run but will go back into her carrier if she gets a little spooked. Rosie tends to come inside the unit for her breakfast in the morning and then she will come back inside in the evening for her dinner and will stay in the warm overnight with Felix.

Felix likes to come out onto the floor to have an explore but hasn’t shown much interest in any toys. Rosie hasn’t yet felt comfortable enough to play with any toys however this could change in a home where she feels more comfortable.

Felix and Rosie will need a room of their own while they are settling so that Rosie feels safer having somewhere she can relax and get used to her new home with minimal disruptions to begin with. Once she feels more comfortable they will eventually be able to explore the rest of the house and eventually a fully enclosed garden.

Felix and Rosie can live with children 12+. They will need to be the only pet.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
