Personality:
Eric is a lovely boy and likes company. He enjoys getting out and about with people and other dogs. Being a Beagle, he can be quite vocal and likes to let everyone know he’s around! Eric loves his food and makes friends easily, particularly if he thinks you might have a treat to offer. He enjoys relaxing in a comfortable bed.
Behaviour:
Eric walks well on lead, he has reasonable recall for a Beagle! Given the opportunity, he likes to roll in anything smelly but is happy to be bathed afterwards. Eric likes to be brushed, he will need this regularly due his coat which sheds all year round.
Housing:
We are looking for a home with a good sized secure garden, as Eric has some arthritis in his hips and can struggle on longer walks. He could be left alone at home for a few hours, although my bark. Eric can not be rehomed in the PO14 Fareham area.
Children/pets:
We do not know if Eric has lived with children in the past, he likes some quiet peaceful time during the day. He could live with children aged 12 years plus who understand the needs and limits of a mature dog. Eric could live with another calm dog, dependent on successful meets at our site. He could also live with a dog savvy cat.
Vet history:
Eric has hip osteoarthitis this is managed with anti inflammatories and exercise moderation. Eric is castrated and up to date with flea and worm treatment.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
