Name: Elvis
Age: 9 years
Sex: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Ref number: 165

Personality:
Elvis came into our care after being abandoned in a carrier. Initially he found the cattery environment quite scary. A week down the line he was brave enough to stick his head out of his hiding place and the rest is history. Elvis is now a really affectionate boy who loves human company and is a pro at finding the best spots to sleep.

Behaviour:
Elvis will take a little time to settle but he will certainly be worth the wait! Once he feels safe with you he will initiate contact to be stroked and then he doesn’t want you to stop. His coat was in poor condition when he came into us but luckily he absolutely loves to be brushed and is now starting to look his best again. On our camera at night Elvis has been seen to play with a variety of toys and loves using his scratching post.

Housing:
Elvis does prefer the safety of his unit and finds new surroundings a little scary, so for this reason he would benefit from his own unused room to initially settle in, which shouldn’t be for too long, before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually his own fully enclosed garden. He cannot be homed in Gosport, PO12 area.

Children/pets:
Elvis did come into our care with his sister but its clear they prefer being apart, for this reason Elvis needs to be the only pet in the home. He can live with secondary school aged children who will be calm and quiet while he settles as he can be sensitive to noise.

Vet history:
Elvis is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. His second vaccination is due between 25/09/2025 – 01/10/2025 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Elvis has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.
