Doug is a handsome boy who can be a bit shy to begin with but he eventually gives in to his curiosity. He’s becoming more confident each day and can be vocal at times. He loves his food so it’s a good way to build his trust.
Doug, to begin with spent most of the time in his carrier resting but more recently he has started to enjoy being in his outside run at height looking at everything go by. He enjoys some company and once he’s gained your trust, he likes to have some gentle strokes. Doug is wary of loud noises so sometimes he can be hand shy and prefer company from a distance. Doug is a gentle boy who knows what he likes and dislikes and likes to take things at his own pace.
Doug does prefer the safety of his carrier and finds new surroundings a little scary, so for this reason he would benefit from his own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. He cannot be homed in Fareham (PO14 area).
Doug can live with children 16+ who will understand when Doug wants space. Doug needs to be an only pet.
Doug is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. His second vaccination is due between 6/9/24 – 11/9/24 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee.
Doug has no known medical conditions.
