Dora

Name: Dora

Age: 10 years approx

Sex: Female

Breed: DSH

Ref number: 66

Personality:
Dora is a beautiful, loving girl. Since coming into our care she has made lots of progress in her confidence and is still getting braver each day. Although she can be a little sensitive to her surroundings, it hasn’t stopped her making new friends and she is always keen to do so. She loves her food and it’s a great way to begin a bond.

Behaviour:
Dora is very affectionate and she can’t get enough of staff and volunteers attention. She will often greet you with a few meows before she jumps onto your lap to get cozy and have a snooze. She will give you a small nudge on your hand to let you know when she wants a fuss. She is a sweet girl who shows how much she loves her friends by giving lots of slow blinks and a loud purr.

Housing:
Dora does get easily spooked when out exploring the cattery and will run back to her unit where she feels safe, so for this reason she would benefit from her own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. She cannot be homed in Southampton (so15 area).

Children/pets:
Dora cannot live with other cats as we feel she would prefer to be an only cat. Dora cannot live with dogs due to her being nervous. Dora needs an adult only home due to her nervous nature.

Vet history:
Dora is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Dora has had a dental whilst in our care. Dora has no known medical conditions.  Dora was constipated when she come into care so she is on lactose which has helped her toilet regularly. She has also been on some medication to help her settle whilst in our care. Plans will be given to taper her off these medications in her new home.  4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £80. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
