Dexter

Name: Dexter

Age: 11 months

Sex: Male

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 134

Personality:
Dexter is a sweet confident boy and since being in our care, he’s settled in well and made friends with staff quickly. Despite this, Dexter has a lot of energy to burn off and has started to show us signs he is struggling with the confinements of the cattery environment. Dexter does enjoy human company but can find it overstimulating in this environment so therefore when he is being socialised, he is given plenty of space to allow him to come and go as he wishes.

Behaviour:
Dexter loves to be exploring the cattery floor and makes the most of it when he’s being socialised. He especially enjoys playing with different stick toys which helps to keep him occupied. Otherwise, he likes to make use of all the space running up and down the floor and pouncing out of the tunnels. Dexter does have some downtime when he’s worn himself out but it’s not long before he’s looking for something else to do. He likes to have some gentle strokes when he comes over to you and initiates for it himself.

Housing:
Dexter will need a home with outside access to a garden. He cannot be homed in Gosport Po13 area.

Children/pets:
Dexter needs to be the only pet in the household as he can be full on. Dexter could live with teenagers 16+ who have had cats before and will be understanding of his needs.

Vet history:
Dexter is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Dexter has grade 1/2 heart murmur. He is currently showing no clinical signs. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £80. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
