Clover and Corey

Name: Clover and Corey

Age: 6 months approx

Sex: Female and male

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 45 & 44

Personality:
Clover and Corey have come to us from a multicat household of over 50 cats. It is clear to see they have had no human contact or interactions and they were left to come and go from the property as they pleased. They are finding being in the cattery environment really stressful and cant wait to able to enjoy the great outdoors again.

Behaviour:
Clover and Corey are quite fearful of people and will spend the day hiding, sometimes sticking their head out to eat when no one is watching. Once the staff have gone home for the day our night camera’s show they are much happier and have lots of fun exploring, playing and enjoying some rough and tumble. Clover and Corey are not displaying behaviours of being typical pet cats so for this reason they are looking for an alternative home, as it is likely they will prefer the independence and freedom of enjoying life outdoors. Over time, Clover and Corey may get braver and decide to interact with their carers and may choose to spend more time around them.

Housing:
Clover and Corey are looking for a fully enclosed safe and secure outbuilding which will be provided with all the necessary resources they need such as fresh food, water and warmth in the colder months. This can be in the form of blankets, straw and shredded paper where necessary. They will need to initially spend approximately 4 weeks shut inside their new accommodation to enable them to learn where home now is. The outbuilding will need to be a permanent place for Clover and Corey so they always have a sheltered area to go to. Clover and Corey cannot be homed in Portsmouth. Support will be provided by the cattery and behaviour teams to ensure you have the correct setup, and to help with their planned release back into the outside world.

Children/pets:
Corey and Clover will need to be cared for by adults only. However, children can be present within the household of the adoptees, providing that they are supervised at all times and understand they are not typical pet cats so they should always keep a safe distance away. They can be around other animals once released as long as this is managed.

Vet history:
Clover and Corey are neutered, microchipped, ear tipped, flea, wormed and have received a vaccination. Clover and Corey have no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £80. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cats.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal
