Name: Charlie
Age: 4 years old approx
Sex: Male
Breed: German Shepherd x
Ref number: 69
Personality:
Charlie is a happy and very affectionate boy. He loves going for long walks and running around in the field as well as having lots of good sniffs. He can be quite nervous and frightened of men but will make friends over a period of time. Charlie loves fuss and affection especially from his handlers. Charlie also loves other dogs and interacting with them, he is super playful and enjoys walking alongside them.
Behaviour:
Charlie came in to us as a stray, so we do not have much information about his history. Charlie walks very well on the lead and does learn really quickly. He enjoys a cuddle and a fuss and will make someone an incredible friend. He also loves open spaces but will need some recall training. We do not know how Charlie will cope being left alone but he can relax here at the shelter at times. He will need adopters who are prepared to introduce him to being left gradually.
Housing:
Charlie will need a good sized secure garden to explore and relax in and a comfy bed in a quiet area of the house to sleep in.
Children/pets:
Charlie wants to be the centre of attention and so will need to be the only dog in the home for now. He would however love to have dog friends out and about. He will not be able to live with cats due to his excitement around them. Charlie could live with children of 16 years +.
Vet history:
Charlie is up to date with his vaccinations and flea and worm treatment. Charlie has had dirty ears in the past and may need treatment for this in the future. Charlie can be a bit sensitive when it comes to having his ears cleaned so adopters must be happy to continue his training in his new home.
