Name: Buddy & Bruno
Age: Adults
Sex: Males
Breed: Cockapoo
Ref number: 18 & 17

Personality:
Buddy and Bruno are a lovely biddable pair of dogs. They were signed over to us as unfortunately their owner could no longer care for
them. Buddy and Bruno are both very friendly dogs who enjoy playing, having a cuddle and going for walks.

Behaviour:
Buddy is the larger, black cockapoo and is a laidback, easy going dog. He gets on well with other dogs and will walk next to them nicely.
Buddy is more independent than Bruno but still enjoys a fuss. Buddy is on a weight loss program here at the shelter and will need a family committed to helping him loose a few pounds. (This should be an easy task as he loves his walks!). Buddy can be a bit unsure at the groomers and in a vet setting but we have muzzle trained him so he can wear a muzzle in these situations. Bruno loves to be the centre of attention and despite being much smaller than Buddy, tends to hold the spot light. He loves to sit on your lap for a cuddle. He can jump up and bark for attention at times but will stop when ignored. Bruno also gets on well with other dogs and can be off lead around them. Bruno has had hip surgery in the past but has now fully recovered. Adopters should be aware that anything related to his hips may not be covered by insurance. Both of these boys are lovely to work with. They are food motivated and love to engage in training. They both walk well on the lead but can be a bit of a trip hazard if you are walking them alone!

Housing:
Buddy and Bruno would love to have a garden of their own to run around and play in. They can be left alone for up to 4 hours per day but would benefit from having this built up again gradually. It is believed both boys to be fully toilet trained.

Children/pets:
Buddy and Bruno could live with other dogs pending successful dog meetings here at the shelter. They can live with children of primary school age. They cannot live with cats.

Vet history:
Buddy and Bruno are both fully vaccinated, flea and wormed. Both boys are also castrated. Bruno has a pre-existing condition form regarding his hip operation.
