Name: Bruno
Age: 8 years
Sex: Male
Breed: Beagle/Pointer
Ref number: 49
Personality:
Bruno is an older friendly boy but with plenty of energy still! Like a typical hound he’s normally head down using his nose while on walks. Bruno was unfortunately returned to us after he was adopted as he was struggling to cope with a busy walking environment. We are now looking for a home in a quieter location, or with adopters with the means to drive him to somewhere more rural for his walks.
Behaviour:
We have limited history on Bruno but since his arrival at the centre he has enjoyed meeting new people and enjoys a good fuss from his circle of friends. He’s an inquisitive boy who can pull on the lead at times especially when he’s letting his nose lead the way. Bruno is very good in the home, and is fully toilet trained. Bruno loves to snooze on the sofa, play games in the garden and have a cuddle with his people. On walks, Bruno can seem anxious at times, especially when in busier environments like a city or dog park. Although Bruno can walk alongside other dogs, when on lead he can find it frustrating and he can bark at them at a distance. His new adopters ideally would have some experience with reactivity and be willing to help Bruno through this (with the help of our behaviour team).
Housing:
Bruno will need a secure garden and adopters who will be around most the time whilst he settles into his new home. Cannot be rehomed to the PO13 or PO4 area.
Children/pets:
Bruno will need to be the only pet in the home but could live with children of all ages, whilst we believe he will be happy around young children, they should be supervised at all times.
Vet history:
Bruno is castrated and up to date on his vaccinations, flea and worming. He does require regular ear cleaning.
