Bowie

Name: Bowie

Age: 3 years

Sex: Male

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 175

Personality:
Bowie came into our care after being pushed from pillar to post. Bowie was wary on his arrival; trying to work out his new surroundings. He is still getting used to the cattery environment but is showing his affectionate personality to his trusted carers.

Behaviour:
Bowie likes the safety of his inner pod so he tends to spend his day resting on the top shelf, where he can look out the window to the surroundings if he wishes. Bowie will venture out of this space to greet his trusted carers. He will initiate for a stroke by nudging into their hand and is beginning to paddy paw. It is likely his confidence will grow once settled in a home. Staff have not yet seen a playful side but this may come with time.

Housing:
Bowie does prefer the safety his inner pod and finds new surroundings a little scary, so for this reason he would benefit from his own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. He cannot be homed in Havant (po9). He would benefit from being in a low populated cat area due to his dislike to other cats.

Children/pets:
Bowie cannot be rehomed with other cats due to having a strong dislike to neighbourhood cats in his previous home. He could live with a calm small dog after a slow introduction. Bowie could live with secondary school aged children due to his shy personality.

Vet history:
Bowie is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. His second vaccination is due between 28/10/25 – 3/11/25 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Bowie has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
