Boots & Zippy

Name: Boots & Zippy

Age:3 years and 1 years old

Sex: Female

Breed: Jack Russell Terrier

Ref number: 3 + 4

Personality:

Boots and her daughter Zippy came to us due to no fault of their own. This mother-daughter pair enjoy curling up in a bed together and are both sweet and affectionate. Zippy can struggle away from her mum wand so we are hoping to find this lovely pair a home together. They are both active little dogs who will make an exciting new addition!

Behaviour:
Boots walks well on a lead but has a high prey drive and will try to chase a cat or two if given the opportunity, she can be unsure around handling to start but once settled enjoys a cuddle and fuss. Zippy is enthusiastic about everything and still learning to walk nicely on lead but can still be a little unsure at times. Having mum Boots around gives her a bit more confidence but she will need to work on her confidence on her own as well. Their ideal family would be interested in training and invested in helping them find their feet. They would thrive in a home with at least two adults present to assist with walking them at the same time.
Boots and Zippy struggled in their previous home with toilet training and would often have accidents. Their new family must have time and be committed to helping these two with toileting outside. They were previously used to being left for short periods.
Housing:
They will need access to a private garden, Boots especially will look for a gap she could slip through so it must be secure. Cannot be rehomed to the PO13 area.

Children/pets:
These two would need to be the only pets in the household. Both have lived with children previously and whilst we believe they could live with primary school age children again, they will need to be supervised at all times.

Vet history:
Neither Boots or Zippy have any ongoing medical conditions and both are up to date with vaccinations, flea and worming. Neither have been neutered and so will need to come back for this when they are settled.
Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £385. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the Dogs.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
