Name: Bobby
Age: 2 years
Sex: Male
Breed: Cockatiel
Ref number: 4
Personality:
You will often find Bobby perched on a branch in his aviary beside his two current aviary friends. We’ve found Bobby is very fond of his human companions, always greeting them with song when he sees them.
Behaviour:
Bobby enjoys playing with different types of enrichment, he gets very engrossed in breaking apart the wicker ball toys on his hanging enrichment. In his future home he will need different types of enrichment to keep him busy.
Housing:
Bobby is looking for a large outdoor aviary with other bird friends. The size of the aviary can be discussed with the staff, if you are interested please fill in the application form and send us photos of your set up to enquiries@rspcasolent.org.uk
Children/pets:
Bobby can live around other animals but must be kept separately. He can live around primary aged children, but we would advise that children must be supervised with birds.
Vet history:
When Bobby came into our care he was pulling out his feathers, but after some TLC and companionship from other birds he seems to be a lot happier. Staff are still observing him everyday to ensure he isn’t pulling at his feathers or over grooming.
