Belle

Name: Belle

Age: 8 years 9 months

Sex: Female

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 195

Personality:
Belle is a lovely girl who enjoys sitting on people’s laps relaxing, she often sits and waits at her unit door for someone to come and give her attention. Belle loves coming out on the cattery floor to explore and have a good sniff of her surroundings, often coming back to you to check on you. Belle greets her socialisers with a big stretch. She will happily sit and purr on your lap and even have a groom by your side.

Behaviour:
Belle is an inquisitive girl who likes to wander around the cattery floor and watch what everyone is doing, especially looking into the kitchen at all the lovely food. She will come over to you and brush against you. As Belle enjoys being out stretching her legs she quite often doesn’t want to go back into her unit. When in her unit Belle will happily spend most of her time curled up on a warm lap purring and being left to chill. Although Belle is very affectionate, she can be independent and needs things very much on her own terms. She is a sensitive girl and is very alert to external noises.

Housing:
Belle can sometimes get easily spooked when out exploring the cattery floor and will run back to her unit or respond with a little hiss when she feels threatened. So for this reason she would benefit from her own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. she cannot be homed in Gosport (PO12 area).

Children/pets:
Belle will need to live with older secondary school aged children as she can be a little wary of sudden movements or loud sounds. She will need people who give her the space and time to settle in by herself and initiate contact on her terms.

Vet history:
Belle is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Belle has been suffering with itchy skin whilst in our care and has been reactive to people touching it along her back as well as excessive grooming and twitchy skin. Belle has been put on a short course of medication to help ease the itchiness, which she is currently tapering off Belle is on a James Well-beloved wet and dry diet whilst in our care to help with her skin.
