Name: Badger
Age: 4 years
Sex: Female
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier
Ref number: 27
Personality:
She is a sweet natured affectionate girl who likes to sit on your lap for a fuss. Out on walks she is alert and full of energy. Her prey drive is high and she will try to chase things that move. She is very switched on and enjoys training.
Behaviour:
Badger had a very sheltered life before coming into our care and can find the outdoors overwhelming, she will bark, especially at other dogs. This is improving with the training in plan at the centre and this must be continued in her new home. It would be good to enlist a good positive reinforcement trainer to help Badger overcome her anxieties. Post adoption behaviour support will be given.
Housing:
Badger would need a very secure private garden. She is looking for a new home ideally with people who have experience with reactive dogs. She would benefit from walks in quiet areas while she continues to build her confidence. Renting a paw paddock for Badger would be beneficial so that she can have some off lead time in a safe environment while she is getting used to walks. Cannot be homed in Gosport.

Vet history:
Badger is neutered fully vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment.
