Personality:
Ada and Isla are two very clever sisters who enjoy enriching their brains and bonding with the staff during their training sessions. Ada is a sweet girl who loves being around people, Isla is full of personality and likes everyone to know she’s the boss.
Behaviour:
Ada and Isla are sweet inquisitive girls however they can have their moments. When first coming into the Ark both girls would lunge for food and snap at the staff out of frustration. However both girls have settled really well and through training sessions they are now much calmer and will step back and wait for their food. Each day the behavior of the girls is improving, Ada enjoys a back scratch however Isla still doesn’t like being touched and is working to trust the staff. The staff will assist the girl’s new family/couple/individual in the best way to help them settle and to continue their training.
Housing:
These sisters will need to be adopted together, they will need a large secure field with stock and post n rail fencing, a large pig shelter and a wallow. You will also need a CPH number for your land. The centre may be able to help with transport but please discuss this with the staff.
Children/pets:
These girls cannot live with children as they can be unpredictable, however they could live with other pigs.
Vet history:
Ada and Isla are both fully vaccinated and have no current health concerns.
Additional information:
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the pigs.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
