Personality:
Gary is an intelligent Cockatiel, we can often hear his chirps throughout the day. He particularly loves to peck at a fresh stem of millet!
Behaviour:
Gary is growing in confidence while being in our care, but is also wary when in close proximity of people and can chose to keep his distance. Naturally, this could be related to his history of being a stray.
Housing:
Gary is looking for a large outdoor aviary where he can live with other birds, such as Budgies and other Cockatiels. His flying currently seems quite limited, so he would highly benefit from a well kitted out aviary with a variety of perches, while he gains his strength. The size of the aviary will be dependent on the total number of birds and can be discussed with staff.
Children/pets:
Gary can live around other animals, but must be kept separately. He can also live with children of all ages, but young children must be supervised if interacting with the birds.
Vet history:
Gary was treated for worms when he first arrived in our care. He also came into us as a stray therefore we don’t have any history on him, and have found his flying skills/strength to be quite minimal. Both his wings have been medically cleared by our vet.

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the bird.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
