Pippin

Name: Pippin

Age: Young

Sex: Male

Breed: Guinea pig

Ref number: 3

Personality:
Pippin is a very shy young boy who is now looking for a female friend or a group to bond with. He can often be found cozied up in his bed. He gets very excited during veg time and can be heard squeaking away in anticipation.

Behaviour:
Due to his nervous nature, Pippin needs someone who will be able to take a slow approach with him to build trust and help his confidence grow. He is not keen on handling and can be nervous around human interaction. We believe that once he has a friend he will start to come out of his shell more. We would recommend at least one meeting with Pippin where staff can discuss his requirements further.

Housing:
Our minimum housing size for two guinea pigs is 6ftx2ft. This could either be an indoor C&C pen or a large outdoor shed. Housing can be discussed with staff, but we do not rehome to hutches.

Children/pets:
Pippin can live around other pets, but to be kept separately. He can also live with secondary school aged children (11-18 years). Younger children must have adult supervision if interacting/handling with the guinea pigs.

Vet history:
Pippin is castrated and has no other health concerns.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £25. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the guinea pig.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
