Padme

Name: Padme

Age: 1 year old

Sex: Female

Breed: Mastiff x Akita

Ref number: 25

Personality:
Meet our resident queen Padme Amidala. The force is strong with this one as she is a big girl who thinks she is a little dog. She is only a baby at just over a year old. She is full of fun and can jump up and will lean herself right up close for snuggles. Padme generally walks well on the lead, is very friendly and loves training; she has so much potential and would make a fantastic addition to her new home!

Behaviour:
Padme was found as a stray so we don’t have any knowledge of her history before she was found. For this reason, due to her being a large breed at 40kg, she would need to go to a home who is able to manage a dog of her size and is committed to her ongoing training. If you are looking for a dog to take to training classes, then Padme could be the girl for you! She is super food motivated making her the dream dog to work with!

Housing:
Padme will need a secure garden where she can let off steam and she is likely to need to be gradually introduced to being left alone for short periods. She cannot be rehomed to the Portsmouth area.

Children/pets:
Due to Padme being a large breed stray, who we have very little information about, she will need to go to an adult-only home with no visiting children. She should be the only other animal in the home but could make suitably matched doggie friends on walks.

Vet history:
Padme is fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatment. She will need to return to the center at the appropriate age to be spayed.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £220. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
