Personality:
Lemon, Pancake, Sugar and Maple are full of excitement, climbing and running about their cage. Lemon and Pancake appear to be the sleepier of the four, whereas Sugar and Maple are a lot more active and will be seen running about their cage. We’ve seen that the girls have a very close bond and will often be seen sleeping in a large bundle together.
Behaviour:
The girls are very curious, but do get spooked at sudden noises or movements. Once they’ve become familiar with you, they will give you many sniffs and licks.
Housing:
They will require a large rat cage with lots of different enrichment to keep them busy, sizes of this can be discussed with staff. They would also benefit from having free roam time in a large pen or room.
Children/pets:
The girls can live around other pets, but they should be kept separately from their living area. They can also live with secondary school aged children, but must have adult supervision if handling/interacting with them.
Vet history:
Lemon, Pancake, Sugar and Maple do not have any current health issues.
Additional information:
All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the rat.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
