Name: Hazelnut
Age: 8 months
Sex: Female
Breed: Hamster
Ref number: 5
Personality:
Hazelnut is a confident girl. In the mornings when people are around she will appear from her hide to see you. She is very fond of a mealworm, and is extra gentle when she takes it from your hand.
Behaviour:
We’ve found Hazelnut is okay with being handled, when you place down your hand for her she will place her paws onto you. She is a very active girl overnight, so needs lots of enrichment to stimulate her.
Housing:
Hazelnut will need an enclosure of a minimum of 100cm by 50cm. She is a very keen burrower so will need a minimum of 6 inches of bedding, with lots of different enrichment.
Children/pets:
She can live around other animals in a separate room. She can also live with children of older primary school age (8-11 years) and up. All young children must be supervised when around Hamsters.
Vet history:
Hazelnut does not have any current medical issues.
