Phoebe

Name: Phoebe

Age: Under a year old.

Sex: Female

Breed: Jack Russell Terrier/Poodle

Ref number: 118

Personality:
Phoebe is a sweet-natured little terrier that has not had the best start to life. She has come to us from a multi-dog household where she had received little training or socialisating. However since being at the centre Phoebe has started to come out of herself and loves to play and now enjoys being around people.

Behaviour:
Phoebe can be a little nervous in new situations and environments but the staff are slowly exposing her to new things and she does warm up very quickly. She enjoys a gentle fuss and time with the staff. She is looking for a quiet home, where her new family can allow her plenty of time to settle in. Phoebe comes to life around other dogs, so she can be rehomed with a calm and friendly dog.

Housing:
Phoebe will need someone at home with her all day initially to help her settle in. We believe she could learn to be left for a couple of hours but this will need to be built up gradually. Phoebe is still learning to walk on a lead and harness so she will benefit from being walked in a quiet location, and access to a private garden so she can explore and build her confidence in her own time.

Children/pets:
Phoebe could live with another dog who is confident and calm to help show her the ropes. She can also live with cats and small animals that are used to dogs. Phoebe needs a quiet home but could live with children of secondary school age.

Vet history:
She has no on-going medical issues and is up to date with flea, worming and vaccinations. She will need to be returned to the shelter to be spayed once she has settled.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £250. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
