Name: Fringe
Age: 1 year
Sex: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Ref number: 110

Personality:
Fringe came into our care from a multi-cat household. He is finding the cattery very stressful and feels most comfortable exploring his unit once staff have gone home. In his previous home, his owner had described him to be loving and cuddly. Fringe is a very playful boy. He has been seen on night camera footage, running around his unit and carrying his soft toys around. Whilst in our care, he has not initiated for human interaction and will sometimes hiss if someone is in close proximity to his hide. The staff remain hands off, to give him choice and control over contact.

Behaviour:
Fringe likes to be in his large scratch tree in his outer pod and will come out to eat his food once it is quiet. Fringe is desperate to go back to a home environment where he can get back to what he is used to and away from the day to day cattery disruptions. As shown on camera footage, during the night he has lots of fun chasing his ball toys and rolling around on the floor. Due to the nervous behaviour shown within this environment, Fringe will need time to settle in and get used to his new surroundings so he is looking for his adopters to allow him the space to adjust at his own pace and be patient during this. We are hoping that once he has settled in his new home, he will start to become more relaxed within the company of people and over time get back to the affectionate self he was in his previous home.

Housing:
Fringe prefers the safety of his unit and finds new surroundings scary, so for this reason he would need his own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. This room will need to be equipped for Fringe for the duration of time he needs to settle. He cannot be homed in Fareham po15 area.

Children/pets:
Fringe will need to be the only pet in an adult only household.

Vet history:
Fringe is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Fringe has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.
