Personality:
These beautiful boys are full of excitement and always eager for human attention. Zac and Taylor love nothing more than coming over to greet you and give you lots of sniffs and licks! Zac the larger of the two likes different types of enrichment, where he needs to dig or forage for his favourite food. Taylor enjoys having strokes from his favourite humans and sleeping in his cozy hammock.
Behaviour:
The boys can have a few squabbles from time to time but they can still be seen cuddling up with each other in their favourite hammock. In their future home they will need to have free roam time out of their cage, with different types of enrichment to stimulate them.
Housing:
Zac and Taylor will need an enclosure a minimum size of 159cm tall and 92cm wide. They will need appropriate enrichment with plenty of hammocks and hides. Please talk to staff for more information.
Children/pets:
They can be housed around small animals, cats and dogs but kept in a separate room and around children primary school age (5-11 years) and up. All children must be supervised when around the animals.
Vet history:
Zac and Taylor do not have any current health issues.
Additional information:
All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the rats.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
