Name: Una
Age: 2 years
Sex: Female
Breed: Collie
Ref number: 89
Personality:
Una is a very sweet natured girl who loves company and has won the hearts of everyone she’s met in the short time she has been with us. She loves her toys, particularly one with a squeak and loves to engage in play but will also amuse herself.
Behaviour:
Una is a very friendly girl and is very lucky to be spending some time in a foster home at the moment. Una was very stressed in the kennel environment so it has been lovely to see her settle into a family home. Una is a very typical border collie, who loves to play in the garden and have cuddles equally. Una has been very well-behaved in the home, showing that she is fully toilet trained and settles well overnight. She is even happy to be left on her own for a few hours a day, although Una loves to have company so it would be great to find her a home where she is not left too often. Her foster family are working hard to improve her lead walking skills, as she can be strong on the lead currently. Her new family would have to be able to manage her and continue this training. Una is happy to greet most dogs on lead and walks well with calm, friendly dogs. She may tell some off if they become too excitable so we feel she would do best as an only dog for the time being. If you love everything about border collies and are looking for a companion, then Una maybe the dog for you!
Housing:
Una will need access to a private enclosed garden where she can let off steam. She can be left for a few hours. She cannot be rehomed to the PO12 area.
Children/pets:
Una should live with adults and secondary school age dog savvy children but she would need to be the only animal in the home.
Vet history:
Una is up to date with her flea, worming and vaccinations. She will need to be returned to the shelter to be spayed.
