Siren

Name: Siren

Age: 8 years

Sex: Female

Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Ref number: 43

Personality:
Our sweet Staffie Siren is full of fun and always on the go, she love her toys, particularly one with a good squeak and she will keep herself busy with self play but also loves to engage in play with her human friends. She’s a very clever girl and enjoys training particularly if food is involved. Although she is a more senior lady, you wouldn’t know it because she has boundless energy and would thrive in a home where she can enjoy lots of exercise and mental stimulation.

Behaviour:
Siren does not like other dogs and cannot be socialised with them, she will walk past at a safe distance (the other side of the road for example) without reacting but is fully muzzle trained and must wear this in any situation where she may be in contact with an off lead dog. She can be a little snatchy with her food so would benefit from ongoing impulse control training. Advice and guidance will be available from our behaviour team to support Siren in her new home. If you are looking for a fun, energetic and slightly silly staffie who will make you laugh, and you don’t mind staying away from other dogs, Siren is the girl for you.

Housing:
Siren would benefit from a private enclosed garden where she can feel safe and let off steam. Siren was left for 3-4 hours in her previous home so should be ok to be left from short periods once settled. She cannot be rehomed to the PO2 area.

Children/pets:
Siren cannot live with other animals and would be better suited to an adult only home.

Vet history:
Siren has some small mammary lumps which require removal, our vet has advised that this should be done at the same time as her spay which we are unable to do until 3 months after her last season. Once the lumps are removed they will be sent for analysis, this procedure will be done at the centre and if an adoption takes place before this date her adopter will need to bring her back for surgery. Further details can be provide to any potential adopters.
Siren is fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatment.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £220. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
