Rosy

Name: Rosy

Age: Adult

Sex: Female

Breed: German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever

Ref number: 112

Personality:
Rosy is a very sweet, clever and friendly girl who really enjoys playing ball, training and learning new things (if it involves food!). She loves spending time with her friends here at the Ark, having lots of cuddles and going on long walks.

Behaviour:
Rosy came to us due to no fault of her own and has not had the best start in life. Due to this she can be nervous around men, and will need gradual introductions. Rosy can be unsure initially when on lead around other dogs, and this shows itself as Rosy barking. From our assessments, we know that Rosy can make friends with larger male dogs. She loves her adventures with her Collie friend, Zorro, and they play very well together. Rosy has shown signs of separation anxiety in the kennel. We are therefore looking for a family who can be around most of the day and gradually (over the course of a few months) introduce her to being on her own. Rosy really is such a beautiful girl who has come an incredibly long way since arriving with us. From a fearful, skinny young girl she has blossomed into a curious and loving dog.

Housing:
Rosy is looking for a quiet home. She will need her own space in the home with a private garden. She cannot be rehomed to SO19 area.

Children/pets:
Rosy cannot be rehomed with other dogs and small animals. Rosy cannot live with cats, she has a very high prey drive and will chase any cats or small animals given the chance. Rosy needs an adult only home.

Vet history:
She is fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment. She has recently been neutered. Rosy is currently on long-term behaviour medication to help with her anxiety. We recommend she stays on this until she has fully settled in a home.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £220. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
