Pip and Squeak

Name: Pip and Squeak

Age: 2 years

Sex: Male

Breed: Guinea pig

Ref number: 23 & 24

Personality:
Pip and Squeak are confident boys who will run over to greet you. Their favourite time of day is veggie time, where they can be heard squeaking in anticipation! These intelligent boys love to keep themselves busy working through their enrichment to earn their treats.

Behaviour:
Pip and Squeak have no behavioural issues. They can be spooked by sudden movements or noises. They are good at being handled and enjoy sitting on your lap for a stroke. We would recommend at least one meet with them, where their requirements can be discussed further with staff.

Housing:
They will require an enclosure of a minimum 6ft x 2ft, either housed indoors (such as a C&C pen) or outdoors (a large shed setup). They could be bonded with a big herd of female guinea pigs, where sizing of the enclosure would need to accommodate the amount of piggies in that group.

Children/pets:
The boys can live around other animals in a separate room. They can also live with children of older primary school age (5-11 years) and older. All young children should be supervised when around guinea pigs.

Vet history:
They have both been castrated and have no other health concerns. They were treated for mites when they first arrived in our care.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £40. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the guinea pigs.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
