Name: Neve and Ember
Age: 9 months
Sex: Females
Breed: Guinea Pig
Ref number: 30 & 31
Personality:
Neve and Ember are shy girls that have started to grow in confidence since arriving at the centre. These girls get along very well and you will often find them to be hidden away in their hidey houses snoozing. We have found around feeding times they become quite confident and will appear to see what tasty food you have.
Behaviour:
The girls don’t like sudden movements, they will need a family that can take things at a slow pace. They aren’t too keen when being handled, but when sitting beside their enclosure they will come out from their hides and will gradually get closer to you.
Housing:
Neve and Ember will require an enclosure of a minimum 6ft x 2ft, either housed indoors (such as a C&C pen) or outdoors (a large shed setup) for them, the enclosure will need to increase in size with more guinea pigs . Housing can be discussed with staff and they can be housed as a pair, with one single neutered male or with a herd of females.
Children/pets:
Neve and Ember can live around other animals in a separate room. They can also live with children of older primary school age (8-11 years) and up. All young children should be supervised when around Guinea pigs.
Vet history:
They do not have any current medical issues.
