Fringe

Name: Fringe

Age: 1 year

Sex: Male

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 110

Personality:
I am Fringe, well known for my handsome hairstyle. I am a sensitive boy so I am finding it difficult to settle in the cattery environment. Luckily, my trusted staff members moved me to a quieter and larger location. This has helped me feel safer to access my resources during the day. I am so grateful to have more choice and control over my surroundings. My staff use a predictable hands off routine so I feel comfortable whilst they complete the day to day jobs. I am often afraid whilst they are in my space, so I sometimes give them a hiss to express how I feel. I tend to keep my distance from my carers and watch from the height of my unit. Occasionally, I will get inquisitive so I take a slow walk to sniff around my carers. I am thankful that they stay still and quiet whilst I investigate because I am easily spooked by sudden movement and sound. I am a playful boy once my staff have gone home and I enjoy tucking into to my enrichment that they specially do for me each night. In my previous home, my owners described me to be a loving boy.

Behaviour:
I am desperate to start my new journey in an outdoor setting. I haven’t been outdoors before so I would love to have this opportunity to explore and eventually play out the hunting sequence I keep hearing about from the passing shelter cats. I will need time to settle into my new environment as I find change a little frightening. It also gives me time to get to know my surroundings and more about my new carers. My new carers will need to be patient with me whilst I settle and allow me to have lots of space so I can adjust at my own pace. My current carers are hoping that once I have settled into my new home, that I will start to become more relaxed within the company of people.

Housing:
I am looking for a warm, insulated summer house or converted garage with access to a garden. I cannot be homed in Fareham po15 area.

Children/pets:
I will need to be the only pet in an adult only home. My staff will make considerations to adopters with other cats depending on space and facilities.

Vet history:
I am neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £50. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
