Name: Fringe
Age: 1 year
Sex: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Ref number: 110

Personality:
Fringe came into our care from a multi-cat household. He finds the busy cattery environment stressful and will hiss if people are too close, so has been moved to a larger, quieter area where he has more space and control over his surroundings. After several weeks following a predictable routine, we are still using a hands off approach with Fringe which is enabling him to become more trusting with some staff he feels most comfortable with. Fringe will often take himself to a safe viewing platform and watch from a distance. Fringe is most active when staff have gone home. On our night cameras he can be seen fully exploring his area and playing with a variety of toys. In his previous home, his owner has described Fringe as a loving boy.

Behaviour:
Fringe likes to be in his large scratch tree and will come out to eat his food once it is quiet. Fringe is desperate to go back to an environment where can have choice and control over his world. As shown on camera footage, during the night he has lots of fun chasing his ball toys and rolling around on the floor. For this reason he would likely thrive with the opportunity to play out the hunting sequence in an outdoor setting. Fringe has never been outdoors before so he ideally needs an environment away from busy roads. Due to the nervous behaviour shown within this environment, Fringe will need time to settle in and get used to his new surroundings so he is looking for his adopters to allow him the space to adjust at his own pace and be patient during this. We are hoping that once he has settled in his new home, he will start to become more relaxed within the company of people.

Housing:
Fringe is looking for a warm, insulated summer house or converted garage with outside access to a garden. He cannot be homed in the Fareham PO15 area.

Children/pets:
Fringe will need to be the only pet in an adult only household.

Vet history:
Fringe is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Fringe has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.
