Flint

Name: Flint

Age: 7 months

Sex: Male

Breed: Jack Russell Terrier/Poodle

Ref number: 105

Personality:
Flint is a sweet-natured little terrier that has not had the best start to life. He has come to us from a multi-dog household where he has received little training and socialisation. Flint can find the world quite scary but his confidence is growing everyday. This little man loves to curl up on your lap and have cuddles.

Behaviour:
Although Flint is generally a nervous dog, he warms up very quickly to people. He enjoys a gentle fuss if you sit on the floor with him and has formed some really close bonds with the staff. He can be hand-shy at times, so is looking for a quiet, experienced home who can allow him plenty of time to settle in. Flint comes to life around other dogs so it is vital he lives with at least one other calm and friendly dog. He loves to play and follow other dogs around and we believe this will really help him adjust in his new home.

Housing:
Flint will need someone at home with him all day initially as it is possible he has never been left previously. We believe he could learn to be left for a couple of hours but this will need to be build gradually. Flint is still learning to walk on lead so will need to be homed to a quiet location, with a private garden so he can explore and build his confidence in his own time.

Children/pets:
Flint must live with another dog who is confident and calm to help show him the ropes. He can also live with cats and small animals that are used to dogs. Flint needs a quiet home but could live with children of secondary school age.

Vet history:
Flint is having weekly ear cleaner to keep his ears wax free. He has no other on-going medical issues and is up to date with flea, worming and vaccinations. He will need to be returned to the shelter

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £250. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:
