Name: Cooper
Age: 10 months
Sex: Male
Breed: Husky/Greyhound
Ref number: 92

Personality:
Cooper is such a fun, outgoing and playful dog. This beautiful boy has really stolen the hearts of the staff, his cheeky grin and zest for life makes him a joy to be around. If you are searching for a loyal, trainable and high-energy young dog, Cooper may just be the dog for you!

Behaviour:
Cooper has unfortunately recently been returned to us, due to no fault of his own. Cooper responds very well to reward-based training and thrives when he is working with his handler. He needs on-going training with loose-lead walking and re-call, but the potential this boy has is endless! Through toys or food, this boy loves to learn. Cooper is very dog- social and loves to play. His play style can be quite full on- so he needs appropriate dogs to have has play mates. He is learning how to remain calm when on lead around other dogs and doing very well, but this will need continuing in his new home. Cooper loves everyone he meets, and is a very friendly boy. He needs to learn not to jump up and say hello politely but with support, we are confident Cooper will nail this.

Housing:
Cooper would love to have his own garden to run around in. He will need someone around at all times as he is not currently used to being on his own. He previously showed signs of separation anxiety, so will need on-going support with this in his new home. Cooper is used to a crate, which we recommend he has in his new home to help with on-going settle training.

Children/pets:
Cooper can live with secondary school age children who are confident around large dogs. He could also live with another dog, if suitability matched. He cannot live with small animals/cats due to his very high prey drive.

Vet history:
Cooper has no on-going medical issues. He will need to come back to the shelter to be castrated once he is old enough. He is up to date with flea/worm and vaccinations.
