Name: Ciaran
Age: 1 year 6 months approx
Sex: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Ref number: 163

Personality:
Ciaran is a quiet boy during the day and will rest in his bed in his inside pod. He is struggling with the confinements of the cattery and is desperate to spend his time exploring the outdoors again.

Behaviour:
After coming into us as a stray, Ciaran is finding the change of environment stressful. In our care, he is showing fear around people and chooses to remain at a safe distance. As he spends most of his day hiding whilst people are around, staff used cameras to see what he gets up to during the night. He will complete his activity puzzle and explore the outside run but is very eager to find a way out.

Housing:
Due to Ciaran likely being a long term stray and it is unknown whether he has had much positive interaction with people, Ciaran would prefer to have a safe, secure, sheltered building or shed. This can be in a spacious garden/farm land/stables or considerations made for alternative similar set ups. His adopters will need to use a hands off approach and live onsite to provide him with his essentials such as fresh food and water. It may be that he will prefer to live permanently like this but he may gradually build trust with her owners and surroundings and choose to live a more conventional lifestyle in a home.

Children/pets:
Considerations can be made for adopters with other pets depending on space and individual circumstances. Ciaran will need to be cared for by adults only and if children are onsite, they should be supervised at all times.

Vet history:
Ciaran is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, flea and wormed. Ciaran has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.
