Bones

Name: Bones

Age: 6 weeks

Sex: Male

Breed: Mixed Breed

Ref number: 73

Personality:
Let us introduce you to the Cemetery puppies. These sweet boys have not had the best start to life after being found at four days old in a shoe box in a Cemetery. These puppies have been hand raised by our wonderful team of staff and volunteers. Due to a traumatic start in life and being raised without a mum, these boys can be quite nervous of new situations. We are looking for dedicated adopters who are prepared to put in the time and effort it takes when raising a puppy but who are also sensitive to the fact that they can be a little nervous. Ideally adopters will have experience with larger breed dogs.

Behaviour:
Bones is a sweet natured, playful boy, a little lazier than his brothers. Gravy has been his roommate since they have been in foster. Bones is the biggest in the litter and possibly the cuddliest! He enjoys playing with toys, having cuddles and running around with his brother. Bones can be nervous in new situations and new things need to be introduced slowly so he does not get worried, when this process is followed he relaxes quickly. His new adopter will need to be committed to socialising him at a pace that he is comfortable with.

Housing:
All puppies need to have someone at home all the time to begin with, with gradual exposure to being left. They will need access to a private, secure garden.

Please do not apply for this puppy if you are not in a position to adopt in 2 weeks time. We will not process applications with holidays approaching.

Children/pets:
Bones can live with sensible older children 12 + these puppies are mouthy and nippy, so this should be considered before applying. He can also live with other dogs and cats, although he would benefit from a quiet household. Adopters must be willing to expose him to other animals slowly and be able to keep them separate while this is happening. Children will need to be taught how to behave around him.

Vet history:
All puppies are flea, wormed and microchipped. They have had their first vaccination and will need to return to the shelter for their 2nd vaccination and neutering (when they are old enough)

PLEASE NOTE WE WILL NOT BE PROCESSING ANY APPLICATIONS UNTIL THE PUPPIES ARE 8 WEEKS OLD. 15/08/25

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £250. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
