Name: Barry
Age: Young adults
Sex: Male
Breed: Cockerel
Ref number: 14

Personality:
Barry is an inquisitive and curious boy who loves watching his surroundings. He spends his days exploring and foraging in the outside grassy area. He is now looking for a group of females to bond with.

Behaviour:
He can be a little reserved around humans and prefers the company of other chickens but is handleable when needed for health checks

Housing:
Barry requires at least 5 chickens in his new home but ideally 10. The enclosure should be a large predator proof coop with a large outdoor/grass area, accessed either via free roaming or attached to the coop. Sizing of the enclosure can be discussed with staff.

Children/pets:
He can live around other pets, but to be kept separately. They can live with children of all ages, but to be supervised when interacting (especially younger children below the age of 11 years).

Vet history:
Barry arrived in poor condition and was underweight but has been doing so much better since being in our care, he has no current health concerns.

Additional information:
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cockerel.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
