Sarah and Winnie

Name: Sarah and Winnie

Age: Between 1 and 2 years old

Sex: Female

Breed: Dumbo

Ref number: 22 and 24

Personality:
Get ready to meet the sweetest most inquisitive girls. Sarah and Winnie are sweethearts who love each other and people, Sarah loves to come out and sit on your shoulder and have a cuddle. Winnie can be a little more reserved but will also come out for a cuddle when she’s ready, she’s a clever girl who loves her enrichment and being snuggled in her hammock.

Behaviour:
These girls have no behavior issues but will need a loving family to be patient with them when they settle in. As they have had a rough life they are in need of a retirement home where they can live together snuggled in the warm.

Housing:
Sarah and Winnie will need an enclosure a minimum size of 159cm tall and 92cm wide. They will need appropriate enrichment with plenty of hammocks and hides. Please talk to staff for more information.

Children/pets:
These rats can be housed around cats and dogs but kept in a separate room and around children primary school age (5-11 years) and up. All children must be supervised when around the animals.

Vet history:
Unfortunately Sarah and Winnie didn’t have a good start in life and were kept outside. As a result of this they came in underweight, with mites and with colds. These sweet girls have been treated for mites and are now clear and putting on weight. Sarah still sneezes from being outside and we are hoping this will clear with time.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £26.25. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
