Sheldon

Name: Sheldon

Age: 2 Years

Sex: Male

Breed: Rottweiler

Ref number: 64

Personality:
Our gorgeous boy Sheldon is friendly, gentle and a joy to be around, after not being exposed to much before coming to us. He has
adapted really well and taken everything in his stride. He can be a little nervous but is quick to trust people and keen to explore the outside world on his walks. He didn’t know how to play with toys when he arrived but has slowly begun to show an interest and loves playing with a ball or football.

Behaviour:
Sheldon is a pleasure to work with and learns really quickly. We have noticed he sometimes shreds his bedding when left alone in the
kennel so this is something any potential adopter would need to be aware of and work through with him. He hasn’t spent much time in a home so he would benefit from someone being around most of the time to help him settle in and build up to being left for longer periods. Its possible he may need help with toilet training.

Housing:
Would benefit from a large private garden which he can easily access throughout the day, this could help with toilet training. He cannot be rehomed to the PO9 area.

Children/pets:
Due to Sheldon being wary at times he should live with adults only and children over 14 years. He could live with other dogs subject to successful meets here at the centre.

Vet history:
Sheldon has a stage 4 heart murmur, he will need to have check ups every 6 months and a heart scan annually. Indications show Sheldon could live a normal life with this for many years but there is a chance he may need medication in the future which would not be covered by insurance. Adopters would be provided with full details on how to manage this going forward. He has been castrated and is up to date with Flea and Worming treatment.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £180. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.

Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal
