Peanut

Name: Peanut

Age: 1 year

Sex: Female

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 71

Personality:
Peanut is an affectionate girl who likes to have company. She was a little shy of her surroundings for the first few days but is quickly gaining her confidence and is liking the reassurance from trusted socialisers. As she is settling in, her playful side is starting to show.

Behaviour:
Peanut enjoys relaxing in her igloo bed but makes a speedy appearance when she hears someone entering her unit. She makes a friendly greeting to everyone and when she gets to know you she will happily jump on and off your lap for strokes. She will sometimes headbutt your face or give a gentle tap with her paws to get your attention. Peanut is showing she could be a fun, playful character once settled in a home and would make a lovely addition to a household who will be around to keep her occupied.

Housing:
Peanut does prefer the safety of her inside pod/igloo bed and finds new surroundings a little scary, so for this reason she would benefit from her own unused room to initially settle in for the first few days before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. She cannot be homed in Portsmouth PO3 area.

Children/pets:
Peanut could live with older primary school aged children who will be calm to allow her to settle into her new home. She cannot live with other dogs or cats.

Vet history:
Peanut is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. Her second vaccination is due between 20/06/25 – 26/06/25 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Peanut has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.
