Rehoming – Profile

Unfortunately, we have no history for the alpacas.
Behaviour observations on site:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the animal.

Danny, Harry, Tom and Dougie are four boys looking for their forever home.
Dougie is the most shy of the group whereas Harry is the most confident and foodie; he will happily eat from your hand. And Danny and Tom are quite aloof and content to do their own thing.
This boy band is not particularly used to people or being handled so will need time to settle into their new home but, since their brief time here at the shelter, we have seen them grow in confidence.

You will require a CPH number and some experience with livestock.

They will need a large field with a shelter big enough for four (or two, depending on how many you are adopting). The field will need to be surrounded by post and rail with stock fencing that is secure at the base.

Adoption fee: minimum donation of £1200 for all four, or £600 for a pair

Medical history:

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

All four alpacas have been neutered and vaccinated and had their hooves trimmed.
Harry has shown signs of mange and so we are treating them all for this. We are currently feeding Tom more than the others as he is underweight and Dougie has a weepy left eye. We are monitoring both.
