Chestnut

Name: Chestnut

Age: 2 years approx

Sex: Male

Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Ref number: 69

Personality:
Chestnut can be a sensitive boy who initially found the cattery a little scary. He came in with a cat bite abscess which made him feel pretty rubbish and as a result he would hiss at the staff so they would keep their distance. Since this has been treated he’s now much more settled and absolutely adores human company. He’s grown so much in confidence and will now actively greet people at the front of his unit and enjoys spending time outside his pod with staff and volunteers.

Behaviour:
Chestnut can sometimes still give a little hiss when you enter his unit, he doesn’t mean it and as soon as he’s sniffed your hand he’s quickly giving you a gentle headbutt to initiate fuss. He likes to relax nearby within your company and roll around with his toys if they have catnip spray on them. He is beginning to jump onto staff members laps and will curl himself into their hands and sometimes nudge around their face.

Housing:
Chestnut does prefer the safety of his unit and finds new surroundings a little scary, so for this reason he would need his own unused room in a calm home to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. He cannot be homed in Bognor Regis PO22.

Children/pets:
Chestnut could live with older aged secondary school children who will be calm and gentle around him. Chestnut will need to be an only pet.

Vet history:
Chestnut is neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. Chestnut came into us with a cat bite abscess which he has had treatment for and has recovered well from.  Chestnut has no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption.

Adoption fee:
The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

Additional information:

We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.

Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.

Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.
