Poor Baby Girl didn’t have the best start in life and we think she missed out on early socialisation when she was younger. For this reason Baby Girl was strongly adverse to any handling or interaction from staff when she first came into our care. She found the cattery environment really scary so after a few weeks she was moved into one of our outdoor pens which is quieter and away from other cats, and she has gradually started to settle and feel more relaxed. Baby Girl is quite comfortable being in close proximity with people and will happily lay close to you. However, she is still not keen on being touched. This may change once she is settled in her new home but we cannot guarantee this. Her new owners need to have experience with challenging cats and need to be prepared that Baby Girl may never want a hands on family.
Baby Girl is a big foodie so this is a great way to make friends and start earning her trust. She is also starting to show a little playful side.
Baby Girl would need her own, unused room to initially settle and feel comfortable in before exploring the rest of the property and eventually an enclosed garden. This may take some time and will need to be done at a pace Baby Girl feels comfortable with.
Baby Girl cannot be homed in the Southampton (SO18) area and her adoption fee is £70.
