Rehoming – Profile
Acorn came to us as she was living with another dog who she didn’t cohabit well with.
Behaviour observations on site:
Acorn is a super softie and loves to be near you and have a fuss. She also has an energetic side and loves to have a good run around in an enclosed field. She is a fun loving girl and enjoys a toy, she also enjoys her food and loves to play with you which makes her a dream when it comes to training.
Acorn is a little worried about other dogs and will bark when she sees them at close proximity. She is doing really well with her training around this and her new adopters will need to carry this on in her new home. Acorn may be able to make dog friends in the long run but will need to be the only dog at home. Acorn does have a high prey drive, due to this and her behaviour towards other dogs she will need to be on lead in walking areas, her new adopters will need to regularly hire an enclosed field so she can have a good run around. Acorn is fully muzzle trained if she should need to wear a muzzle for short periods of time, she can.
Acorn can be nervous of new men but warms up quickly. She has been really good at the vet here, A star patient.
Acorn’s ideal home would be in a quiet neighbourhood with owners who are around most of the day. New owners will need to be open to lots of cuddles and be happy to share their sofa!
Acorn cannot be homed with small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs.
She will need a secure garden (ideally fairly large) with a 6ft fence or wall.
Acorn cannot be homed in Tadley.
Adoption fee: £180 If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.
We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.
Medical history:
Acorn is spayed, fully vaccinated, flead and wormed.
Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.
